Just in case you didn’t know, Wizkid stole the show at the just concluded Dolce and Gabbana runway event in Milan, where he walked the runway alongside famous supermodel, Naomi Campbell, musician Tine Tempah and a host of other amazing celebrities.
This may not be so much news to many people now, considering that Wizkid is a world-renowned artist so hell yeah, he deserves to be on that runway.
However, let me take you back to sometime in 2011 when a young star released an album with one of his songs stating that he was wearing Dolce and Gabbana. At the time, we could have been so sure that he wasn’t putting on the original pieces of clothing, and the D&G brand barely knew who he was.
Fast forward to 2018, about 7 years after, he is invited as a celebrity guest to wear original custom-made pieces by D&G. He also just made history as the first African to walk the Dolce and Gabbana runway.
This just goes to prove that there is power in the words we speak. No matter how long it takes things to come to fruition, we can always have faith in the process.
