Sometimes last year when music superstar D’banj, started his trading away from music, many Nigeria think it a was joke.
However, the D’banj, ” Koko Garri ” business has received endorsement from richest black person on earth planet and founder/president of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, former minister of Agriculture and newly elected chairman of African Development Bank Akinwumi Adeshina.
It seems that the ” Koko Garri ” is set to hit the market now as award winning indigenous rapper Olamide popularly known as Baddo has the business of his colleague, D’Banj.
The YBNL general Olamide, ed D’banj’s garri business as he purchased some cartons of the Ijebu garri.
Olamide who bought 7 cartons of D’banj’s ” Koko Garri ” directly from D’Banj said it was a buy six get one free promo sale for him.
He wrote: “Koko garri for igboro man dem ! Ok I be ijebu boy I love garri so much .. Had to buy 6cart. Lol they dashed me 1 .. Oooshey #kokogarri #YourOwn”
A carton of Koko Garri has 18 packs of the 1kg pack. Both Olamide and D’banj are hailed from Ijebu in Ogun State and garri Ijebu is a special delicacy of Ijebu people.
D’banj unveiled his Koko Garri initiative at the One Do Agric Campaign launch on March 20, 2014 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja as the first product to come from his company, Koko Holdings.
