It’s Official! Tidal Officially Goes Live In Nigeria
One of the world’s leading music streaming service, Tidal is officially live in Nigeria. You heard me right, Jay-Z‘s led subscription-based music, podcast and video streaming service, Tidal expands its operation fully into the Nigeria market.
This good news for content creators and music lovers all over Nigeria as a streaming platform, TIDAL official begins operation today in Nigeria. The streaming platform is working fine with Nigeria IP as I’m writing this report, and it’s also available on Google Play Store & Apple Play Store.
According to an insider source, Tidal officially begins operations in Nigeria today, was due to several intensive plans of one year to move into Nigeria and Africa. The source further says that the fee for the subscription is said to be around N1,200.

The launch of Tidal into Nigeria comes a week when leading free streaming platform Audiomack officially expands its own operation into the emerging Africa market with an office in Lagos, Nigeria with operations led by Ade Adetunji, Charlotte Bwana, and Olive Uche.

Tidal‘s direct competitor in Nigeria is Apple Music & Youtube Music, which had personal and family subscription at N900 and N1,400 respectively, while Boomplay offers services at N500. Although other local streaming platforms like UduX and Gbedu are also in the mix.
